Therefore, terminal assets are part of a portfolio of transport infrastructure, with port terminals representing an operating branch. Dubai Ports World is a salient example, as it is part of the Dubai World sovereign wealth fund, which is managed by the Government of Dubai. Holdings account for about 19% of the hectares controlled by terminal operators worldwide.
